Producer and researcher Ron Rudin will screen for the first time his short documentary film (22 minutes in length) and talk about his work on the MMRA.
Unnatural Landscapes tells the story of the marshlands of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, particularly during the period after World War II, when the MMRA was tasked by the federal government to rebuild or replace the region’s dykes and aboiteaux. Building on interviews with individuals with a variety of connections with the marshlands, the film encourages reflection on what it means for a landscape to be natural.
Admission is free.
