The house was built in 1884 by a young widow and teacher Henrietta McCord on land purchased from George F. Bowser.The building saw a whole succession of occupants including longtime Professor of Music at Mount Allison University Allison G. Patterson.

In 1999 the structure’s function changed from residential to commercial with the construction of a large addition which obscures the facade of the original building. The present occupant is the “Mane Attraction.”

This building is within the Town of Sackville Municipal Heritage Conservation Area A.
